Federal University of technology Minna, and was established in the year 1983. It is located in Niger state north central Nigeria is one of the three federal universities of technology in Nigeria. Which is ranking number 8 best university in Nigeria.
 The current vice chancellor of the university is Professor Abdullahi Bala





FUTMINNA  as nicknamed is specializes in technological education.The University is a designated Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering and has a core competence in the development of vaccines and drugs.
