JAMB CAPS: How do I check my Admission Status in Jamb Caps Portal? What are the steps I need to accept or reject my Jamb admission offer for this year 2019? Jamb Caps Admission Status Portal

Steps To Check Your 2019/2020 Admission Status In Caps Portal
Ensure you have an active data bundle (Subscription).
Open your favourite browser (Preferably, Google Chrome or Firefox).
Visit the jamb caps  admission checking portal http://jamb.org.ng/efacility
Login and scroll down to check CAPS UTME/DE Admission status.
Click on UTME/DE Admission button to check and accept/reject your 2019 status of admission.
Your details including Jamb score, institution, date of birth, etc will appear when you have successfully logged in to Jamb caps portal.
If you are given admission and you like the school then click on accept admission.
If the institution and course space is blank or you have not been offered admission then don’t click on accept admission. Just keep checking back.
Be very careful not to accept admission when you are not offered (or when you have the hope of gaining admission in a better school).
Once you accept the admission offered you then your admission door is closed for that year.
On the other hand, if you see welcome while you click on CAPS, don’t be annoyed. Just use desktop version to see the menu and then click on check admission status (Click on the three dots on Google Chrome and scroll down to see desktop site.
While checking your Jamb admission Status on Caps, you will encounter certain terms you can’t understand what they mean. Some of the terms are: Approved, Recommended, welcome, admission in progress, blank page and not admitted. I have explained what they all mean plus other things you need to know. Accept The Admission Status:
Accept the admission if you are okay with the school and course you are offered admission to study. There is a button to accept your admission in the admission status checking page.

Reject Admission in Jamb Caps:
Reject the admission if you are not okay with the school and course you are offered admission to study. There is also a button to reject your admission in the admission status checking page.

Note: The accept and reject bottom won’t be clickable until you are offered admission.

 Jamb Caps Portal Market Place
 Jamb caps marketplace is where you are been made marketable by Jamb. Jamb advertises your Score to Various institutions. The schools now decide whether to admit you are not. This now results in you gaining admission into a school you didn’t apply.

Most time, Jamb Market place is as a result of you not meeting the requirements of the school you applied to (Low Jamb and Post Utme Score).

So long admission is still in progress, there is a high chance that you will gain admission.


I Mistakenly Click Accept Admission In My Caps Portal? If you mistakenly accepted admission when you have not been offered admission by any school yet then it’s no issue. However, your admission is gone if you reject it.

You are advised to create a profile with a valid and unique GSM Number because all vital information will be sent to the GSM Number you supply.

Already have confirmation code

Follow the Instructions below to obtain your unique confirmation code.

To create a new profile, Send Surname FirstName MiddleName  as SMS from your unique GSM number to 55019. Ensure the names are in the specified order and separated from each other by a space. e.g. Adewale Chukwu Adamu
To update an existing profile that is yet to purchase a UTME/DE PIN, Send Correct Surname FirstName MiddleName as SMS from your unique GSM number to 55019. Ensure the names are in the specified order and separated from each other by a space. e.g. Correct Adegoke Chukwu Adamu
(Note: you can only correct names if you have not used the confirmation code to purchase UTME/DE PIN).

To receive your confirmation code again, Send Resend as SMS from your unique GSM number to 55019. e.g. Resend
To receive your already Purchased UTME PIN again, Send  UTMEPIN as SMS from your unique GSM number to 55019. e.g.  utmepin
To receive your already Purchased Direct Entry PIN again, Send  DEPIN as SMS from your unique GSM number to 55019. e.g.  depin

To Reset your Profile Password, Send PASSWORD email as SMS from your unique GSM number to 55019. e.g. Password adamu.chiji.adeola@gamil.com
Upon receipt of your confirmation code, take the code with you to any selling point for sales of form (Banks, Online Payments, Mobile money operators, etc.)

NOTE:

MiddleName is optional.
Ensure You do NOT hand over your cellphone to any person/agent to create your profile or receive your confirmation code.
