Physics and and all their formulas

All physics formals A-z

BigCommerce US

Firstly, physics is that branch of pure science that deals with the related between matter and energy.
          OR
PHYSICS is a pure science that deals with the behaviour of matter and energy and how it relates with other physical properties.
 Below are all  physics formula you must know before you excel as a physician or physicist.

1. FORCE : force is  act which changes the state of rest of a body or it's motion in a straight line .this definition simply tells you that in every action on the surface of the earth there is force applied on it that made it to be so.
Let's concentrate in the formula of force.
  Force F= mass x acceleration.
And the unit of force is Kgms-2

2.Mass= weight (w)/g
    g simply means acceleration due to gravity so any where you see g in physics formula know it is earth gravity which is always 10m/s2 ,as a good physics whether your tutor or examiner     give you hints on the questions given to you or not know from to day  acceleration due to earth gravity is equal to 10 metre per second square. Is that clear? Okay let's continue.

3 .Acceleration_many mistake this to speed that's why  you see some driver who drive on high speed  when you ask them they will say wow! I gotta the car accelerated.  Capital No ! .Acceleration is change in velocity with time  .for instance if a car was on high speed as high as 180 km per  minutes from point A__________________________B   there is no acceleration at all . But if a car Move in high speed from point A to B and in another direction to point C the car said to be accelerated despite the speed ,the speed can be uniform or not so, far there is a change in direction of the moving object acceleration occurs.
 Acceleration ,a = change in velocity/
                                   Time taken.
                                  Or
  Position change in velocity/Time taken .
    A= v-u/t

SI  Unit of acceleration= m/s2

  Equations of uniformly Accelerated motion_
   V=u+at
   S=ut+ 1/2at2
    V2 =U2+2as

4. Velocity _ this is the rate at which displacement changes with time in a specified direction.
 Velocity, v = Displacement/Time

5. Speed: this is the rate of change of distance with time.
 Speed v, =Distance (d)/Time (t)

Average Speed = Total Distance covered/Time taken

Actual Speed=  instantaneous speed/short interval of Time

 Motion__An object said to be in motion when  the space generally influence by the action of earth gravity and air resistance.

The general equation of motion
V=u+-gt
H=ut+-1/2gtsqr
V2=u2+-2gh
   Hints: v= velocity
               H= height
               g = acceleration due free fall
                     Or earth gravity which is
                       Equal to 10m/s(metre per                           second square)

Projectile motion_ A body or an object said to be projectile when it is launched into the atmosphere without being  disturbed by air resistance  or  gravitational pull
        Or  when a body move along a curved path is  called projectile.

Formula for projectiles

Time taken to reach maximum height
t= usinteta / g

Maximum height, H= Usquare sinteta/2g

Time of Flight, 2t= T= 2U sinteta/g

Range,R= Usquaresin2teta/g
Maximum Range, Rmax= Usquaresinteta/g

6. Momentum_ this is product of       body's mass and its velocity.
 Momentum(m) = mass x velocity
SI unit is kgms-1

Rate of change of momentum= change in momentum/time
 = mv-mu/t

WORK ,ENERGY AND POWER
WORk _ this is product of force and distance moved in  a direction.
Work ,w= force × distance

SI unit of work is joule

 ENERGY_____ this is capacity or ability to do work .
Kinetic energy_this is energy  due to motion.
Kinetic energy K.E = 1/2mvsquare
Change in kinetic energy = 1/2mvsqr-1/2musqr
=1/2m(vsqr-u)sqr

Potential energy__ this is the energy due to it's  virtue of  position.
Potential energy P.E=weight of a body × height.
that's P.E = mgh.

Power__this is the rate of doing work or transfer of energy.

Power= work done/time taken
              = energy transferred/time
Power, P= F×S/time =mgh/t=1/2mvsqr/t
 SI unit of power is watts.

1 kilowatts, KW= 1.34 H.P

1 horse power (H.P) = 746Watts

WAVE__This is the disturbance which transfers energy from one point to another through the help of medium with  the average position of the particles of the medium remaining the same.
      Terms used in describing a wave_
Frequency (f) = 1/time

Wave length(^) =X/N-1

Wave Speed= Distance/time
                      = wavelength/time
SI unit of wavelength is Metre . while frequency is Hertz.

Velocity of wavelength  v= frequency ×wavelength.

Progressive wave equation__y=a sin(betaT-alpha)
Where beta=2Ï€f=2Ï€v/wavelength.

When wave is travelling in opposite direction equation will be  y=a sin2Ï€(t/T+X/wavelength)

The general progressive wave equation is y=a sin(2Ï€t/T-2Ï€x/wavelength)

Stationary wave equation is y=a sin 2Ï€t/T- cos 2Ï€×/wavelength.

Mirror Formula__ I/v+1/u=1/f

Where v= image distance from pole

             U= object distance from pole

             F=  focal length= r/2

  CAPACITOR__ This is a condenser used in storing electric charges

 Capacitor in parallel= Csub1 Csub2/Csub2+Csud1

Capacitor in series = 1/C= 1/C1+ 1/C2+1/C3
  Where, C is the effective capacitance.

BigCommerce US

The energy stored= 1/2CVsqr.

Current, I = Quantity of charge /time

             I= Q/t

Electric Energy = Quantity of electricity/potential difference

       E=Qv
      While Q= It
 Therefore E= IVt

Resistance of a wire (R) =  (mc+H)teta/Isqrt
